Xu Zhengchao, born on January 30, 1976 in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, is a screenwriter and director in Mainland China and graduated from the Chinese Department of Liaoning University.

In 2004, he served as the screenwriter of the stage play "I Dedicate My Bone Marrow to You". In 2005, upon recommendation, he was seconded by Zhao Benshan to become the screenwriter of the column drama "Today's Shengtang".
