Ivan Eastley
No birthday available.
Being born into a creative family (son of Max Eastley) music, film and art have always been very central aspects of his life. Having completed a BSc in Chemistry, however, He also takes great interest in science and technology. He firmly believes that there are many crossover points between the arts and the sciences and that a synergistic relationship exists between a great number of different fields.
His journey as an electronic music producer began in 1999 by playing the PlayStation game, ‘Music’. Even though this simple game only involved arranging pre-made loops on a timeline, it opened a gateway of possibilities and inspired him to begin using Garageband in 2004. Next, he moved on to Reason 3.0 in 2007 and began producing music professionally. Nowadays, Logic X is his weapon of choice for all things audio.
In recent years he’s discovered a great passion for working with film sound and have worked as sound designer, mastering engineer, recordist and mixer for a number of short films, including The Time is Now (dir. Runyararo Mapfuma, written by Ellen Heeley - produced as part of the BFI Film Academy Oct 2015); The Estate (dir. James Weber - June 2015), Still Dark (dir. Patrick Nicholls - September 2016) and The Spirit of ‘58 (dir. Patric Nicholls - November 2017).
