Jiří graduated from the Department of Film Production at FAMU in Prague. He has worked with producer Čestmir Kopecký in his production company První Veřejnoprávní or with film festivals as IFFR in the Netherlands, Prague Febiofest, or Ji.hlava. He is one of the producers under the MAUR film company. His films were presented at festivals in Cannes, Karlovy Vary, and Annecy.
