Rubén Aguirre Fuentes (Saltillo, Coahuila de Zaragoza, June 15, 1934-Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, June 17, 2016) was a Mexican actor and comedian. He is remembered for having played the character of Professor Jirafales, in the series El Chavo del 8 (1973). When he first began looking for acting work, he was told that at 6'7", he was too tall. Mexican comic actor Ruben Aguirre, loved by millions of children and adults across Latin America. He also has a monstrous wingspan of 7’3”. He wore size 18 EEEE shoes.
