Isaac Morantus Adames (born February 9, 1997, in the Dominican Republic) is a multifaceted filmmaker, writer, director, actor, and editor known for his bold and emotionally resonant storytelling. He began his creative journey in 2014 as a content creator on YouTube with his comedy channel Hashtaglol, where he wrote, directed, and performed short comedic sketches that helped shape his unique narrative voice.

In 2020, Morantus became the first Dominican winner of the international Engage Art contest with his short film Firm, gaining global recognition for his storytelling talent. As an editor, his work on Dominican films such as The Pact (2020), La Bruja (2021), and El Vendedor de Arte (2024) earned him two La Silla Awards for Best Editing—making him the youngest and first editor from his region to receive this honor.

As a writer-director, his short film Who Gives a S**?!* (¿Qué Importa Esa M?) was selected by twelve international festivals and won awards in Texas, Spain, and London, as well as the 2024 La Silla Award for Best Short Film. In 2023, he won the Keep Walking Films competition by Johnnie Walker with Camina Ven, a short film that celebrates Dominican identity beyond stereotypes.

Morantus tells stories rooted in the Dominican experience, blending humor with emotional depth. His work aims to entertain, spark empathy, and explore the contradictions that shape who we are.
