Xi Jie Ng creates intimate encounters for a noisy world. Her short films have appeared in Singapore’s elderly arts festival, the Singapore Short Film Awards, Singapore Short Cuts, the International Ethnographic Film Fest of Quebec and the Asian American International Film Festival. She has made and presented work in Singapore, USA, Finland and India. Singapore Minstrel, her first feature film, premiered at the 26th Singapore International Film Festival. She is currently in the masters of fine arts in art and social practice programme at Portland State University on the National Arts Council (Singapore) postgraduate scholarship.
