Sébastien De Dominicis

Dec 12, 1978 - Paris, Ile-de-France, France

Sébastien De Dominicis, known as Dédo, born on December 12, 1978, in Sèvres, is a French comedian, author, singer, actor, director, and screenwriter who rose to fame thanks to the Jamel Comedy Club.

Born in Sèvres, Sébastien De Dominicis grew up in Gagny, Seine-Saint-Denis, raised by his grandparents. His mother was involved in a serious car accident, and his father was absent. His influences include Eddie Izzard, Louis C.K., and Ricky Gervais.

Dédo has been the resident metalhead of the Jamel Comedy Club troupe since its inception. He participated in all three seasons of the Comedy Club, as well as its various tours, including performances at the Casino de Paris, in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal. He is friends with Yacine Belhousse, with whom he created the comedy sketch show "Histoire Racontée Par Des Chaussettes" (History Told by Socks). In 2009, he co-hosted the radio show Le Comedy Club Live on Le Mouv' with Yacine Belhousse and Shirley Souagnon. In 2011, he played the role of Julien in the series Bref, specifically in episode 26, "J'ai un pote à conditions générales" (I Have a Friend with Terms and Conditions). While playing a main role in this episode (the "friend with terms and conditions" in question), he also reprised the role of Julien in several other episodes of the series, though in a much smaller role.

In 2012, he signed with Moustaches Productions and revived his show "Prince des Ténèbres" (Prince of Darkness). In January 2013, he opened for Airnadette at their Comédie Musiculte show at the Olympia. In July 2015, he performed part of his show, Part 1: Killing Joke, at the Avignon Off Festival, along with other sketches alongside Yacine Belhousse, with whom he shared the stage. In June 2017, his show Prince of Darkness was released on Netflix. In 2018, he toured throughout France with Princesses Leya, a humorous metal band he founded with Antoine Schoumsky, accompanied by Cléo Bigontina on bass and Xavier Gauduel on drums. In 2019, he published his first graphic novel, White Spirit, with Delcourt Publishers, for which he was the author, screenwriter, and dialogue writer.

In 2020, he appeared alongside Yacine Belhousse as a guest in season 1 of the French reality show La Bonne Auberge. In 2021, after the COVID-19 pandemic, he returned to touring with his third show: Biafine. In 2021 and 2022, he played the role of Lenny, a video game salesman, in seasons 1 and 2 of the comedy series Space Game, broadcast on France 3 Paris Ile de France and on the France TV platform. In 2025, he takes over the role of Julien in season 2 of the series Bref.
