A parody of the spy mission genre, where Gummy and his friends, Kala and Harry, are taken on by a Covert Government Agency to defeat a set of nefarious villains, led by Dr Verde, who is determined to erase the colour green from the planet. CREATIVE APPROACH: THE GUMMIBÄR & FRIENDS - OPERATION COTTON CANDY is a spy-spoof, a fun detective story for all the family, with clues and connections being discovered by Gummy as he cartwheels through the narrative. Gummy solves problems via his illogical way of thinking and anarchic delight in fun and chaos, helped by his friends, Kala and Harry. In their own peculiar way, Gummy, Harry and Kala are a family, and so we have created a family of three ‘bad guys’ to oppose them - three antagonists whose stories appear separate but eventually come together so that our heroes can pull together as one to defeat them… and save the world.
