The Specialist

Based on a 1953 science fiction short story by Robert Sheckley. A crew of aliens who rely on cooperation between specialized species rather than mechanical devices for space travel loses an essential member, and discover that the only species nearby which could replace him are humans, and they must convince a human to join them.
