Able offers powerful portraits of members of ILL-Abilities: a breakdance group representing the differently-abled community. With a mantra of “no excuses, no limits”, the dancers transcend their physical limitations through extraordinary, gravity-defying movements. The filmmaker, LA-based artist Jacob Jonas, oscillates from wide shots to close-up details, deftly carrying viewers in and out of the choreography while softening the industrial setting.
