Tenali Rama
Court poet Tenali Rama serves at the court of Emperor Krishnadevaraya of the Vijayanagara empire, and uses his sharp wit and wisdom to solve complicated matters quickly.


The King's challenge of standing in the river overnight is accepted by an old man. Tenali Rama accompanies the man as he spends the night in the river. He survives and everyone is shocked. When asked how he survived, the old man replies that he took his warmth from a small lamp in the temple.
