Sportscene is the name of a range of Scottish sports television programmes produced by BBC Scotland. Its main anchor is Stephen Thompson. However, the Tartan Army's dream of going to their first major championships since the World Cup in France 13 years ago took a serious setback last month. The 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic at Hampden - including controversial decisions to award the Czechs a penalty and then deny the Scots one of their own moments later - has made the task a difficult one. Craig Levein's men have to win tonight and hope that the Czechs slip up against Spain and Lithuania. But they can't take tonight's opponents from the tiny Principality for granted as it took a dramatic injury-time winner to beat them when they visited Hampden last year.
