Elsewhere, in an unexpected turn of events, Xu Qi Zhang, who somehow happens to know Ye from the past, also finds himself in the confession team. In the evening, when both his parents and his best friend, Ray, are not available to celebrate his birthday with him, a lonely Ye decides to head out on his own and accidentally bumps into Xu in front of a convenience store. The two, then, decide to hang out together.

Meanwhile, in order to make Ray forget his boyfriend, Jian takes him to the night market, with this being the first time that the two spend time alone.
